About the Muse Mask

The Muse Mask project started with our sincere wish that the current Coronavirus pandemic not prevent you from enjoying what you love.

2020 has seen a shift in the way in which we interact with one another. The dance community has been affected dramatically by this change.

With competitions and dance parties being put on hold and many dance studios being closed, our community has lost many ballroom dancing opportunities.

As we learn how to co-exist with the virus, we are slowly able to re-open these spaces. However, with ballroom dance being a particularly intimate act, we are now required to put on some form of personal protective equpitment such as face shields or masks.

We were aware that the threat of being infected had put some dancers off from enjoying what they love. So, we wanted to create something that would get them back on the dance floor, reminding them, once again, of the joy of ballroom dancing.

With this in mind, we came up with some mask designs as beautiful and elegant as the dresses you wear.

Made in collaboration with an atelier respected by both the up-and-coming designers and the experienced craftsmen, the Muse Mask has finally come to its current form, after much development, exploration, and trial and error.

We hope that The Muse Mask will be the new standard, not only in ballroom dancing but on any occasion where the wearer wants to shine and enjoy life to the fullest.
